How to change halogen flood light to led floodlights?

If you is not satisfied with present halogen floodlights, and want to change them into LED floodlights, it is very easy.

There is a formula you can use. Regularly the lumen efficiency of halogen light is 50lm/w, and lumen efficiency of led floodlights is 130lm/w. If your previous halogen floodlights is 400W, and to get same brightness, you only need to buy 150W led floodlights.

50lm/W*400W÷130lm/w=150W

Can I replace halogen flood light bulb with led bulbs?

Yes, it is very easy replacement.

The halogen floodlights use R7S, E27 or E40 bulb sockets, so you only need to buy the led bulbs with same socket. Also make sure the led bulb voltage is same as your halogen ones.

Can I get dimmed floodlights?

Yes, dimming is now very mature technology for led lights. If you want to get dimmed floodlights, you only to buy dimmed driver and dimming control system.

The four key parts of a led floodlights are led drivers, led chips and housing. Make sure your supplier uses good brand led chips and led drivers. At same time, you need to check the quality of housing. A good housing must be IK 10 and with good heat sink. A good sink will extend the service time of your led floodlights.

How to install LED Floodlight?

Amber Floodlights have 3 kinds of installation, ground mounted, wall mounted and ceiling mounted. And all the installation are fixed through the brackets. To properly install a LED floodlights, there are 7 steps.

Turn off the electricity
Locate your floodlights, and mark the screw holds for the brackets.
Drill the holes
Fix the screws and install the brackets
Adjust the floodlights into the beam angle you need
Connect wires to power supply. The yellow/yellow-green is ground wire, the brown/red wire is live wire, and the blue wire is neutral wire.
Turn on the electricity and test the led floodlights.
